New Building For The San Ramon City Hall
Ground breaking for the new 45,000 square foot building for the San Ramon City Hall is set for September 9th in Central Park. The two story building will include a counsel chambers along with a large lobby and public meeting rooms.
Natural light will flood the two floors of offices through a large glass rotunda entrance. The building is seen by Councilman Harry Sachs as “a step forward” for the city.
The project has been financed with no debt because of an agreement signed by the Sunset Development Company. $ 7.3 million dollars owed to the city, for land that was previously purchased, along with $ 7.5 million dollars for 11 acres of land, will be used to finance this project.
The public will be able to access a third of the building’s space for public events and meetings and the building will have a Silver LEED certification. The plans for development of the new city hall will be reviewed on September 9th at 5pm with an event, a ceremony, and a reception.
